Peter's 50th Birthday Celebration

We celebrated my 50th Birthday at The Dunearn.  We were given a private room, The Raffles with a personal waiter named Christopher.

The birthday boy, his son and his golf buddy, Ps Alfred.

 Ps Ed, another golf buddy, choosing his 4 course set dinner.

Rebecca, Dolly and Louis in the background.

The Psalm God gave me for my birthday!

 "It is good to give thanks to the LORD,
  to sing praises to your name, O Most High;
 to declare your steadfast love in the morning,
  and your faithfulness by night,
 to the music of the lute and the harp,
  to the melody of the lyre.
 For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work;
  at the works of your hands I sing for joy.
 How great are your works, O LORD!
  Your thoughts are very deep!
 The stupid man cannot know;
  the fool cannot understand this:
 that though the wicked sprout like grass
  and all evildoers flourish,
 they are doomed to destruction forever;
  but you, O LORD, are on high forever.
 For behold, your enemies, O LORD,
  for behold, your enemies shall perish;
  all evildoers shall be scattered.
 But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox;
  you have poured over me fresh oil.
 My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies;
  my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants.
 The righteous flourish like the palm tree
  and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
 They are planted in the house of the LORD;
  they flourish in the courts of our God.
 They still bear fruit in old age;
  they are ever full of sap and green,
 to declare that the LORD is upright;
  he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
(Psalm 92 ESV)

Read by my Dear Son Renfred.

Thanks Keng Mun, for saying Grace and for your prayer of thanksgiving, praise and blessings.   Annabel and Yee Pin, attentively listening to the reading of the Psalm.

A joy shared is a joy doubled! Sorrow shared is sorrowed halved, like your age!
Thanking friends for taking time to join us for the celebration of God's goodness and grace. Some have come as far as Japan! Others took time off from work and their busy schedules, still others make a special exception, for which I'm very grateful. For what is a celebration without friends.

Thanks Elder Matt and Dolly.
I can't help but chuckle each time I look at this bottle. But truth be told, it takes keen observation for them to have nailed my character in the short para and boldness in describing me. Your kind advice is well taken to heart. As I said, it takes a true friend to know you and to be able to tell you who you are as well as to give advice and admonish if the situation warrants. How much more when we are brethrens in the household of faith. Thank you again, it will be opened on the next 50th, God willing.

The many other thoughtful presents: one of the best hybrid golf clubs and one of the best balls in the game, should take my score a few strokes down, if it doesn't happen, it's the fault of the golfer! Unique porcelain cups all the way from Japan, a nice box of Whittard coffee selection, my next reading list and lovely and wise birthday prayers and thoughts in your cards!

Thank you, once again for your friendship and fellowship and for joining us on this special occasion.
God bless!
