June Bakes / Family Time/ Father's Day 2012

Baked a loaf of bread, cut it into thick slices, spread Peanut Butter and drizzle Nutella on it - just like the Peanut Butter Toast you order from Toast Box :)
Macadamia Nut Brownies

My daughter, Eliza, baked these Blueberry Muffins.  She passed with flying colours :)
Family time - Board game with Fruits coated with Chocolate Fondue.
 Orange Chiffon Cakes.
First attempt at Hainanese Kaya.  Made with Caramelized sugar and Brown sugar.  Had to double boil for 2+ hours.
Made a batch of Shepherd's Pie.  These can be kept in the freezer for a couple of weeks.  They come in handy when at times when you don't feel like cooking ;)
Homemade Hainanese Kaya and Red Bean Buns.  Will make the Red Bean Buns again.  Like the texture of whole beans with some Red Bean paste .
First attempt at Black Forest Cake.  Made these two square blocks for Father's Day.  They disappeared by the next day.  Quite a bit of work; having to simmer the fresh cherries with liqueur, whip the cream, bake the chocolate sponge cake and assemble them but it was worth the work.  We all enjoyed it :)
Father's Day celebration at Blooies with Beer Grilled Chicken.  We all chipped in to give the Head of the home a BIG ang pow for him to buy a brand new road bike :)
Strawberry Cream Cake with Coated Strawberries.
Inside of the Strawberry Cream Cake.
Baked these Bacon and Cheese and Nutty Buns for my aunty and her family.
The teachers at HLK, the childcare centre, which my two children went to, requested for Cinnamon Buns.  They tried once and kept asking Eliza for them.  So one fine day, I baked some for them :)
Ah ha, my family and I love these pink rice kueh and my aunty makes the best pink rice kueh we have tasted thus far.  I went over to her place to help make them.  It involves quite a bit of work.   Look at the rich ingredients she puts into the kueh.  Yummy :)
